Denim T-shirts: Care instructions
Please note that the care instructions provided by the original manufacturer of the T-shirt do not take the DTG printing process into account.
We therefore recommend the following care tips on this page to properly care for your printed items.
DTF (Direct to Film) prints are relatively easy to care for, but a few tips will help preserve their durability and appearance. Wash textiles with DTF prints inside out at a maximum of 30-40°C, use a mild detergent without bleach, and avoid fabric softener. Ideally, air-dry the textiles and iron them inside out only when necessary and at a low heat setting.
Detailed care instructions:
• Wash:
◦ Always wash textiles with DTF prints inside out, i.e. with the printed side facing inwards.
◦ Use a mild detergent that does not contain bleach or optical brighteners.
◦ The washing temperature should not exceed 30-40°C.
◦ Avoid fabric softener, as it can affect the adhesive layer of the print.
• Drying:
◦ Ideally, allow it to air dry to avoid unnecessary stress on the print.
◦ If a dryer is used, only use a low temperature and preferably on a gentle cycle.
• Iron:
◦ Iron DTF-printed textiles only when necessary and from the wrong side.
◦ Use a low ironing temperature.
◦ Place a thin cloth or baking paper between the print and the iron to avoid direct contact.
• Further information:
◦ Avoid aggressive cleaning agents and stain removers that can attack the printing inks.
◦ Store DTF transfers in a dry, dark place to avoid discoloration.
◦ With proper care, DTF prints can withstand many washes and wears.
