Streetwear without a target audience – Why we don’t want to please anyone
If you're here, you've probably already noticed: We do things differently. And that's a good thing. RodneyLogan isn't a brand for everyone. We're not an advertising campaign based on glossy algorithms. No target audience. No gloss. No filter.
And honestly? We stand by it.
Target groups are for agencies – not for real people.
Somewhere, someone is probably sitting in a trendy office right now, writing "male, 20-35, urban, interested in fashion" on a whiteboard and then calling it "our buyer persona." We shrug our shoulders. Because we know: No one works that way. And certainly no identity works that way.
We don't design for boxes, we design for character. For corners, for edges, and for attitude.
Our clothes don’t fit everyone – and that’s exactly the point.
If you're scrolling down this page and thinking, "Wow, this is different..." then maybe it's a good fit.
If your first thought when you think about a hoodie design is, “Is that allowed?” then it’s probably a good fit.
And if you know that “queer-friendly” is not a trend, but a conviction – then you’re a good fit for us.
What you get here? Not the latest color of the season. But a statement piece.
RodneyLogan isn't "fashionable." We're not out to chase every trend until we look just like everyone else.
Our clothes should say something. And sometimes we even say something ourselves – for example, here:
Google asks: Who is this for? We say: For you—if you feel addressed.
Do you want a label that doesn't label? Clothes that don't want to please but still stand out?
Then wear it. Show it. Disagree. Be loud. Be real. Be uncomfortable.
We do it too.
